" I would urge retailers not to dismiss activities like Partners for Growth as being too much trouble to put into action. Experience has shown that as little as 30 minutes spent relaying a fixture can have real benefits in terms of increased sales."
" I wanted to be involved to see how we can get people to see that it is worth it and that following the advice on offer will help them achieve their full potential as a retailer. "

Retailer Advisory Panel
What is the Retailer Advisory Panel?
The Partners for Growth Retailer Advisory Panel has been created to help convenience retailers innovate, and so improve their sales.
The participants have been selected on the basis of having demonstrated best practice in merchandising and store layout, together with being at the forefront of looking at ways to develop the convenience sector. The Retailer Advisory Panel consists of Shailesh Parekh, Jonathan James, Ramesh Shingadia, Dean Holborn, Chris Philips, Kishor Patel and Naweed Ashraf.
Stephen Moodie, Customer Director for the Convenience Channel commented, “We know the value that Partners for Growth can have for a retailer and we wanted to ensure that the programme continues to improve sales for as many retailers as possible. Bringing together the expertise of the Retailer Advisory Panel will help us to continue to innovate, and to find new ways to reach those who as yet haven’t implemented the Partners for Growth programme.”
The Panel will meet several times a year and the members will have a key role in helping to shape the future of the Partners for Growth programme and also participating in future activities. They will have a role to play in educating and encouraging other retailers through the trade magazines and the Partners for Growth website.
The first meeting was held at Lord’s Cricket Ground in London in August and the Panel discussed the key issues facing independent retailers and shared their experiences, ideas and solutions to some of these issues.
